The THIN MOTION (TM) 30 mm has a diameter of 4.5 meters and a height of just 30 mm. This makes this model one of the thinnest car turntables in the world, only our own 25 mm version is even thinner. This 30 mm model was developed as a more affordable alternative to our premium line. Thanks to its simpler construction and a slightly lower level of finishing, we can offer a price that is unmatched in Europe.
In terms of finishing, you should think of details such as visible screw heads on the top plate. Of course, the top plate of the turntable can simply be covered with carpet so these low-profile dome screws are hardly noticeable.
Despite its compact design, the model still delivers solid performance, making it suitable for full use in virtually any automotive business. It has a load capacity of 2,800 kg and completes a full rotation in just 2 minutes. The ultra-thin 25 mm version rotates faster (85 seconds), carries more (3,500 kg), and naturally looks slightly more refined. Still, this 30 mm thick turntable is an excellent solution for those who want the convenience of a turntable without investing too much. Even with a low number of vehicles, this turntable offers a fast return on investment.
4.5 meter car turntable
This turntable has a diameter of 4.5 meters and a load capacity of 2,800 kg. This makes it highly suitable for passenger cars. For larger commercial vehicles, the wheelbase is often too long for this size. If you regularly photograph larger vans or commercial vehicles, we recommend a larger model.
Large passenger cars do fit without any issues. Think, for example, of a Mercedes V-Class. Vehicles like that can be photographed on this turntable with ease.
We supply this model as a competitively priced DIY kit. The components are compact and intelligently packaged, making shipping both domestically and internationally easy. No welding is required for assembly. If you are skilled enough to assemble a technical construction kit or something like Lego Technic, you can also build this turntable yourself. Please note that the components are heavy; the heaviest part weighs just over 50 kg.

The turntable is delivered as standard on a pallet. This weighs approximately 1,000 kg. We can, at an additional cost, unload it using a Moffett forklift (truck-mounted forklift) if no forklift is available at the delivery location.

Rob’s story
In 2025, I developed this turntable in response to the growing demand for an affordable “turntable solution” without the obstructive ramps you see on many other turntables. As a manufacturer of car turntables, we have focused mainly on the higher-end segment in recent years. That worked well, but I noticed that many small and medium-sized automotive businesses simply could not allocate the budget for a premium turntable. In 2024, I developed the thinnest car turntable in the world. That model is now being sold across Europe and far beyond. The downside is that for some entrepreneurs, the price remained a barrier. We regularly received enthusiastic responses, but also many rejections because the product was above their budget. That is why I started looking for an alternative that retains the key advantages of our high-end models (or comes close to them), but in a simplified and more affordable version. The result is this 4.5-meter, 30 mm thin turntable. It runs on the same technology as our ultra-thin version, but we use different materials, a simpler motor unit, and a lower level of finishing. These choices have made it possible to build a turntable that is technically reliable, but at a price that is accessible to a much larger group of entrepreneurs.
