RTO Stadskanaal – Photo podium with electric turntable for cars

RTO Stadskanaal is one of the larger car dealers in the northern Netherlands, with annual sales of more than 2,500 vehicles. To photograph those numbers efficiently, a separate space was set up in an adjacent building of the same company, RTO Exclusive.

The challenge

Due to the high turnover rate, several vehicles had to be photographed daily. This was done manually, on the showroom floor or outside. Turning and positioning the cars took time and did not deliver consistent image quality.

The solution

We created a photo podium with a turntable for cars measuring 5 meters in diameter and 5 cm thick. The turntable is electrically powered and integrated into the elevated podium. This keeps the floor around it clean and orderly, while vehicles can be positioned perfectly for photography.

Operation is simple and intuitive. With one press of a button, the car rotates smoothly into view. A deliberate choice was made for manual camera operation, so photographers remain flexible in their composition.
