Van Leeuwen – From tire storage to high-end photo studio in Emmen

Where stacks of tires were once stored, now stands one of the most striking photo studios in the northern Netherlands. At Van Leeuwen in Emmen, a former tire storage space was completely transformed into a modern vehicle photo studio where dozens of vehicles are photographed daily.

The challenge

The existing space was functional but far from suitable for photography. The goal was to make the room not only efficient but also visually distinctive, matching the scale of the company, which has an average stock of more than 600 cars.

The solution

In collaboration with the Van Leeuwen team, we built a completely new photo concept.
At the center is an ultra-thin THIN MOTION™ recessed turntable for cars, just 25 mm thick, fully integrated into the floor with a seamlessly concealed motor unit. This creates a clean, minimalist platform without any protruding parts.

The studio is equipped with Bluetooth control and an operating column with start/stop and speed regulation. The striking red 3D backdrop makes the studio unique and provides a recognizable visual identity in all photos.
