Surface-mounted car turntables

Our surface-mounted turntables are available starting from 25 mm thick, while the DIY version is 50 mm thick. Thanks to the slim and flat construction, no extensive installation is required. The turntable is simply placed on the floor without the need to adjust the floor structure. Using a surface-mounted turntable on a floor with underfloor heating is also no problem, as no drilling into the floor is required.

A surface-mounted turntable has several advantages compared to a built-in turntable:
  • Quick and easy installation – No excavation or complex assembly required.
  • Minimal modifications – Can be placed on almost any flat surface.
  • Flexible in use – Easy to dismantle and relocate if needed.

Placing a turntable on the floor not only saves on installation costs but also makes it much easier to remove or relocate the turntable.
The surface-mounted turntable is a cost-effective option. Because the turntables we manufacture are very flat, you can easily drive onto them. In most cases, it is also not disturbing that the turntable is visible in the photo. This is why the surface-mounted turntable is the most commonly used type. The ultra-flat turntable requires a level surface, and the DIY turntable is not sensitive to minor irregularities. This means you can place the turntable on the floor without major modifications, even if you have underfloor heating. The surface-mounted turntable rests entirely on the floor — there is no need to anchor it into the floor!

Options

Our surface-mounted turntable is designed to be placed directly on the floor. This means it is almost always possible to install the turntable on the existing floor. The ultra-flat turntable requires a hard surface and cannot be placed on carpet or any other soft surface. The 5 cm thick version, however, can be placed on carpet, which even reduces the noise produced while the turntable is rotating. Of course, the surface must be stable and strong enough to support the total weight. The motor unit of the 5 cm thick turntable is approximately 11–12 cm thick, while the motor unit of the ultra-flat turntable is about 9 cm thick. On average, the motor units are therefore around 10 cm thick, which means the motor unit protrudes slightly above the turntable. In practice, this is not an issue, as there is always a car positioned in front of the motor unit when photographing the vehicles.
